FEEDBACK OF THE WEEK
Pharoah on The Prince vs. Michael Jackson podcast:
TRUE KNOWLEDGE RADIO are idiots if they think "Oh Sheila" was written or performed by Prince. It was performed by Ready For The World.Umm, good catch. I'm certain they've maybe gotten a few terse emails about this? It amazes me how many people to this day still think that's a Prince song.
BET is owned by white corporate America. Madonna is white corporate America. That's why she used the same people that everyone else is to produce her album even if they aren't really good at making music. Madonna is not the truth and she isn't urban anything . I wonder if she'll bring her bogus fake British accent with her. She is just a non-singing old Brittany with better imagery barring her geriatric butt of corse. EWWWWWWW. Her album is an audio wasteland. It's a shame that the white community has to be represented to the black community in this manner I hope their ratings suffer big time. There are some down -a** white chicks out here but Madonna is not one of them.Next time, tell us how you really feel instead. This, of course, is assuming the idea to appear on BET was brought to Madonna either by her team or BET themselves and she didn't reject it. I'm not sure I would turn it down either, if I was her. But getting back to this whole notion of Madonna trying to be "down", I don't think this is the case, especially once we consider that her Bedtime Stories album was chiefly produced by Babyface, Dallas Austin and Dave "Jam" Hall (it also featured Meshell Ndegeocello), who were all considered "urban" at the time. We could even argue that those producers were more "urban" then than Timbaland and The Neptunes are now. BET is playing catch-up. Madonna's promoting an album. Done and done.
Vivrant Thang on Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing":
Oh baby, let's make love tonight.... *throws bloomers up on the stage.* Between Marvin and Teddy P....*fans self* I'm just mad I'm now living and loving in the days of TEXTUAL healing.Keep your schweaty draws to yourself, young lady.
Mr. Lowe on Ne-Yo's "Closer":
Boooo! Get off the stage! The ever-reliable Mr. Lowe never minces a word and we love him for it.
Valerie on "Brandy Get's A Haircut. And?":
In case you haven't heard, Brandy was NOT at fault in the collision. The woman who died (RIP) was under the influence of a drug and struck another vehicle before Brandy hit her. I think she is allowed to get over this tragic ordeal and move on with her life. And that includes getting a new haircut, and showing those who care that she is doing better. In case you haven't heard, we posted this eons ago. Welcome to January.
