Usher Terrorized Bobby Brown By Stealing His Moves, Choking Him Out

I, for one, can't wait for Bobby's memoir Being Bobby Brown: The Truth and Nothing But, mainly because it's certain be filled with the outrageous flights of fancy and rampant egomania for which he's become known. In another preview from the fine folks at BlackVoices, Bobby says "I watched one of Usher's shows and he basically did my whole show...It was as if it was me on stage. The thing about it is, I love seeing that. It's a compliment to me as a performer."
Aaaaand crickets.
Probably the best part of the preview is where Bobby paints Usher as a drunken, merciless psycho.
However, what many people don't know about the two is the truth to their alleged scuffle that took place at a past birthday party for Usher. "When I walked into the party I ran into Usher and we immediately gave each other a hug," he explained. "While he was holding me, he turned to the side and kinda put my neck in a playful choke hold and started squeezing me."Bobby, it's obvious he was trying to kill you.
"I tried to tell him that I couldn't breathe but he couldn't hear me because the music was loud. It didn't help that he was drunk. I was yelling, 'yo, yo, yo let me go! I can't breathe!' He was excited to see me and he was just expressing himself with this gesture. He was so drunk he didn't realize what he was doing."

nOvaMaticBobby maybe somewhat an embarresment these days but all these young cats like usher, omarion, mario and so on got to give up a slight tribute to B. Brown. He started that sexy and rounchie sing and dance style. Before Bobby there was no other.Usher is 10% J.Brown, 40% M. Jackson ,25% B. Brown, and 25% Usher. WORD
Erick | June 7, 2008 9:33 PM | PermalinkC'mon people! Whilst I luvvs me some 1988 Bobby, he nevah evah had even 25% of the pipes and pure dancing ability that Usher has. Bobby had an odd sex appeal in his hey day, but when it comes to pure entertainment factor, Usher is the clear champ.
We Librans are often misunderstood. LOL
Stephanie Renee | June 5, 2008 9:34 AM | PermalinkHmmm... I don't think this is so far fetched, people. Usher used to always go on about how he grew up wishing he was Bobby Brown. I remember someone once mentioning him in the same sentence as Jason Weaver and Usher going 'ugh' and then pointing out how MJ and Bobby were more what he was going for.
Que? | June 4, 2008 2:47 PM | PermalinkI need to add that Don't be Cruel is one of my all time fav R&B albums of all time and can still be played begging to end without skipping one song. Lip Gloss LA Reid, Babyface and Teddy were ON ONE they put that monster together..Now "Bobby" not so much, although Humping Around was tight.
Mutada al sader the king | June 4, 2008 2:13 PM | PermalinkThanks for the laugh Nov, all my staff is looking at me like what's so funny? Usher choked out Bobby Brown that's rich. There was a time between the first and third album were Usher continually name dropped Bobby as an Idol and major influence,. The song "My way" while nothing like it was a nod to "My prerogative" and I recall Usher saying that in a interview. After all the drug use and drama became more wide spread. Usher stopped naming Bobby so often and kept it to James Brown and The king of Pop. But I really do not see any similarities in their stage performances, vocals or swag (Are we tired of this word yet?) "Style" . Who would have thought a softie like Usher would choke out Bobby B . LOL
Mutada al sader the king | June 4, 2008 2:08 PM | PermalinkUsher will never be what Bobby Brown was in his B.C. (before crack) days.
