There's little more than a month to go until SB fave
Robin Thicke gives us
Something Else to like about R&B music. One of the things we admire most about Thicke is his knack for doing things differently, stepping outside of the current R&B box (thankfully!), most notably with 2006's
The Evolution of Robin Thicke. As for the new album, he says he wasn't afraid to take chances, even if, as he put it in a recent interview, "I might sound crazy every once in a while." As for inspiration for the new release, Thicke says he listened more to his changing surroundings this time around, spending time in both Paris and New York while recording to soak up that energy. "You can't say 'oh, I've got to be in the studio at nine o'clock because I
got to write a hit," he says. "It doesn't work like that. When
Al Green
wrote "Love and Happiness," he was going through love and happiness." If the
first single is any indication of what's to come, I'm sure we'll be happy with his new material. It hits shelves on September 9th. [

Hell has frozen over:) I gets down with this cat, he makes good music not to mention I can actually play it at work. Try playing R. Kelly's last album at work and see how long you keep your job:) Dude reminds me of a more talented Jon B and I will support this cat.
