Rock Slinger Incorporated is one of those independent labels that manages to be innovative, diverse and talented. Little more than a year old, it already has an impressive roster of artists, including Bounce-Worthy Muhsinah and musician Arthur Lewis (who's forthcoming EP was just mastered). Brooklyn-based Rxlngr is part of the groundswell of multifaceted, savvy independents taking a bottom-up approach to multimedia infiltration. Also: the music is good.

It's great to see a hustle that maintains some artistic integrity and dedication to a unique sound. Some of the music borders on esoteric, sure, but thankfully Rxlngr doesn't appear to be too concerned. The label should be on your radar if it's not already. According to its website, "it's only a matter of time before Rxlngr is dictating the soundscape of the western world."
