The list of performers has been confirmed for next month's UNCF
Evening With Stars salute to legendary soul singer Patti LaBelle.
Yolanda Adams, Anita Baker, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Joss Stone and
Dionne Warwick will all be on hand to celebrate the humanitarian efforts of LaBelle, who I actually saw rock the house at last week's National Urban League convention in Orlando. The annual UNCF event, which has in the past honored
Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson and long-time host and benefactor
Lou Rawls, will be taped on Saturday, September 13th in Hollywood and is slated to air sometime in January.
Brian McKnight and
Wayne Brady will also be in the house to honor the diva. It'll be very interesting to hear the performers take on Patti songs. I'll definitely be watching. Frankly, they had me at Fantasia. [
