We're 'Tired' Too, D-Brock (of Waiting for Your Next Awesome Album)
Sometimes I just really can't keep up. Earlier this month saw the release of Strange Fruit Project producer S1's Music Box compilation, featuring nearly all of my favorite under the radar Hip Hop and Soul artists. Where the hell was I? At any rate, here's a track featuring my man Darien Brockington, who is taking his sweet time to release a follow-up to his fantastic Somebody to Love. "Tired" has a backbeat that immediately recalls Q-Tip's "Let's Ride" and the signature D-Brock vocals that made me a stan from the first time I heard him on Little Brother's earliest joints.
