To be fair, Avant's new video for "Break Ya Back" has as part of its title "In A Good Way." As though this parenthetical phrase would somehow make this concept better. Truth be told, a lover telling you how the love you make will include some sort of spinal injury was cute when I was under 25. Now, I just imagine the C-note I'll have to drop at my chiropractor's office. This video is one of those instances when the video seems to enhance the song, since after a while, the song tends to drone on. There's mostly naked body skin-to-skin contact while standing up (which can be sexy) but also the grabbing of a mammary by Avant which can be sexy, too, provided your boss doesn't catch you watching this at work. All-in-all, it reminds me of Jodeci's original "Come And Talk To Me" video when the bodies were headless and swathed in shadows, except that "Come And Talk To Me" will still melt the panties. Avant's wanting to break your back could inspire some spinal breaking to go on, but it'll likely be more due to your own input than his.
