India.Arie is prepping for the 2009 release of her next musical opus Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politicsand lucky for us that the rumored first single has found its way on the net. India teams up with long-time friend Musiq Soulchild onthe magically delicious duet "Chocolate High." This track is a tasty confection with India and Musiq's voices melting together to form a milk chocolaty sweet love song. Surprisingly, this is their first time hooking up on wax, but as good as they sound together they need to do this more often. This finger-licking-good tune has me craving for more. [BS/SNL]
This song is beautiful, my boyfriend heard it first and asked me to look it up this morning and listen to the lyrics. Melted my heart!
Both artist are one of my favorites!

Oh, how refreshing, the song is wonderful! Only the true mature person would appreciate this kind of music. What a blessing! It would be nice if both India and Musqic could tour with Robin Thicke.

Remember....... some of the greatest hits are cornier than this. "You are the Sunshine of My Life" comes to mind.
But its the music and the sentiment that makes those tracks work. Its nice to "fall into" a pretty song. this one works on that same level.
I really think Chocolate High is a very unique cut and it's different. I fell in love with it the very first time. Music is universal and one has to really close your eyes.....feel the tune, really listen to the words, and then think about the love one in your life. Chocolate High can if you let it 'take you to another level". We need to be more diversed and give new sounds a chance. Great job IndieArie & Soulchild!~

Hmmmm...don't hate it, but don't love it either. I wouldn't turn it off it it was playing in the background, but I don't think I'd bump it like I do most of India's other selections. The bridge chord progressions are nice, though.
I agree with Stoney... something about this song just doesn't sit will with me... sounds like a cheesy advertisement jingle for "Chocolate High" candy bars or something. I just don't like it, and I usually love any song dedicated to chocolate!
