Caught up in the election jubilation, Beyoncé has offered to sing at the inauguration. Please no melismatic meanderings on a maniacal melody, Bey. [HHDX]And in her attempt to be the queen of all media, Bey has also expressed interest in portraying Wonder Woman, complete with invisible helicopter and bulletproof wristbands. [LAT] Our favorite artist to commemorate Hip Hop's grandeur and simplicity, Kehinde Wiley, has a new exhibition in New York City. [DP]Hip Hop Speaks to Children, a children's book featuring Maya Angelou, Mos Def and Queen Latifah, has been flying off the shelves. [NYT]Speaking of books, Eminem's new coffee table book, The Way I Am, is ironically amusing. [VV]

Yeah...B really needs to jsut chill out for a while....really... She really needs a better acting and dialect coach..it's like, "chcik, have you seen yourself in these movies? seriouslly? acting is not your medium boo...stick to singing and dancing"
Beyonce is turning into a media whore, didnt she learn anything from J-Lo? I mean sometimes you can OVER expose yourself and people just get tired of seeing your mug all day everyday. I mean 10 years ago J-Lo was everywhere no she cant sell an album or carry a movie. Bee, fall back ma have some kids with you man and chill out for a few years.
Bey as Wonder Woman is just slightly more believable than her playing Eartha Kitt. Egad (again) and Harumph!
thanx for posting the info on kehinde wiley's new exhibit! I missed his last one in harlem, but i think i'll check out the new one tonight..his work is beyond brilliant!!
I don't think fanboys and fangirls will stand for Beyonce as Wonder Woman. While she 'almost' fits the bill (not as tall as Linda Carter, but definitely has the shape), she's neither Greek or blue-eyed. And while studios have switched up comic-book character races in the past, I just can't imagine mumble-mouth Maybelle (Beyonce) as Diana Prince. I understand her wanting to do something 'light'. I say she should try for a romantic-comedy and just forego altogether ever attaining an Academy Award (please see trailer for Cadillac Records...dear God!).
Beyonce to sing at the inaugaration? Glad she's offered her support, but don't we have OTHER Black female singers who can fit the bill? I hope Obama's camp reconsiders and casts someone with REAL soul (yeah, I said it) to do it.
Hip Hop speaks to the children. I'll have to pay Barnes & Noble a visit and check this one out ;)
Eminem 'in all his crazy' is amusing. LOL.
