Soulja Boy Learns The True Meaning of Satire
Exactly one week after the news broke that Soulja Boy wished he could thank slavemasters for being able to bring us from Africa to enable us to acquire "ice and tattoos," comes the inevitable apology. The "ringtone rapper" is now insisting that his comment was taken out of context. Tourè's interview, Soulja Boy insists, was not something he actually wanted to do. Believing the interview was be a mock interview because most of the questions "wasn't making no sense," Soulja Boy decided to up the ante and show his ass by delivering an answer so shocking that most Hip Hop media outlets didn't cover it.
The only problem (and there are several) is that the interview wasn't a mock interview at all. Interviewer Tourè was administering the Proust questionnaire in an attempt to ask questions not typical of the usual questions asked of rappers. In the original article, Tourè explains that,
I decided it'd be fun to give all the rappers part of the Proust questionnaire. I thought it'd be a way to get beyond image and into who they really are. Most of the guys gave good, thoughtful, intelligent, sensitive answers. I asked Juelz Santana, "How would you like to die?" He said, "Loved."

misspriss | November 10, 2008 6:34 PM | PermalinkBaby teeth and mean-mugging has never been sexy.
If he spent less time coming up with those ridiculously xeroxed dances & more time with a book, he probably would've had SOME CLUE what he said was beyond idiotic. If no one complained, it would've been business as usual. "Crank dat Slavemaster!"

Jay Walia | November 10, 2008 4:34 PM | PermalinkThis guy is a dumbass, plain and simple. It's amazing that someone with enough marketing sense to turn his first single(and dance) into a global phenomenon, can be so ignorant on so many levels.
Maybe he's doing this to keep his name in the news...Either way, he deserves to get the white sunglasses slapped off his face for saying that LOL
ListenToLeon | November 10, 2008 4:11 PM | PermalinkI dont know whom I should be mad with, this dumb fool or his parents for not educating him.
