Adele + Hip Hop's Golden Age = Adele 88
Mick Boogie has been at the helm of some pretty interesting conceptual mixtapes. His latest with British chanteuse and Grammy-nominated Adele combines some classic beats from our beloved year of the Daisy and Golden Ages, 1988, and created an interesting mashup. I have to admit that while I'm not feeling all of the tracks, some are worthy of a second listen. The song Adele laced to the MC Lyte beat from "Paper Thin" and LL Cool J's "I'm That Type of Guy" is below. The EP, Adele 88, is available for download at Mick's blog.

I likes it! The LL cool J song mixed best though.

Reecie | December 17, 2008 10:13 PM | PermalinkI just saw this over at mixtapetorrent.com today and was debating about taking up space on my HD with it but if you say it's worth it and there are more tracks like the one you posted on it, I will give it a click. Good lookin' out!
