Brian McKnight Puts His Spin On 'The Christmas Song'

I've always thought that with the right material that Brian McKnight could be the heir apparent to Nat King Cole. They both favor with their tall, slim builds and complexions reminiscent of dark chocolate with singing voices just as smooth. So it's quite fitting that Brian reached into Nat's catalog to remake his most famous song--and a universal holiday favorite--"The Christmas Song," on his second holiday-themed album, I'll Be Home For Christmas. McKnight's version isn't as straight ahead as Cole's venerable classic. Instead, he channels early-'70s Marvin Gaye and does both singers proud. Check Brian out performing the song below, and then check your local listings for his upcoming appearances on the CBS Saturday Early Show tomorrow and the Morning Show With Mike & Juliet on Monday.
