@ Dar. You are quite right when you note her polarizing nature. Her problem is not her talent. It is the in-your-face way of promoting yourself. Basically, if you own a TV, radio, computer, etc.. you have no choice but to see her. It can get annoying. There is point where hustle becomes too much.. word of advice to B: keep the hustle in the background.
I really worry about Kanye West. Wasn't he the one telling us he was greater than Elvis?
Beyonce is not a legend. People who say so were born post-1994 or are looking for attention (like Kanye.. then again, he acts like he was born post-1994). Forgive them for they know not what they say. They never really experienced Tina or at least bothered to. There have been people on blogs saying Beyonce sang "At Last" better than Etta. LOL
err umm uhh, i don't think Tina Turner has ever been the polarizing figure that Beyonce is. i have my own love/hate relationship with Beyonce, so i can't really comment. all i know is that i take everything Kanye says and does (including his music as of late) with a grain of salt. i find it hard to trust anything that comes out of this man's mouth.
without getting into all the X and O's, people should look at it this way: you simply cannot be considered a legend after 12 or 13 years, or however long Beyonce has been a household name. especially when comparing that to someone who has been in the game for over twice as many years, and is still killing it well into retirement age. folks need to stop calling people geniuses and legends before their time. people go around calling Kanye, Dr. Dre, R. Kelly and even T-Pain geniuses. i wish i THOUGHT i'd even consider such a thing. let's call it what it is: these people are good at what they do (and even that statement is debatable). just because i get straight A's does not make me genius. we need to stop feeding these already oversized egos.
