First Spin

Which Of These Tracks Passes the SoulBounce Sniff Test?

Today's selections are a little more varied than usual, beginning with Gnarls Barkley's hauntingly funky "Who's Gonna Save My Soul" with a guest turn from Jay Electronica as "Jota Flowers." Next we have some more random, misguided noise from Busta Rhymes called "Freakin' You" with Ne-Yo and Missy on the assist. This is dumb. Then, a rare The Brand New Heavies joint featuring 3rd Bass called "My Props (Gimme Mine)," which is from 1992 and heavily tagged. And finally we have a solid remix of Jazzanova's "I Can See" by Kaushik. [IR/XXL/SM/VM]

Gnarls Barkley feat. Jota Flowers: "Who's Gonna Save My Soul"

Busta Rhymes feat. Ne-Yo & Missy Elliott: "Freakin' You"

Brand New Heavies feat. 3rd Bass: "My Props (Gimme Mine)"

Jazzanova feat. Ben Westbeech: "I Can See (Kaushik Edit)"

Comments

ON THE BNH FT. 3RD BASS, I DIDNT RELIZE HOW MUCH THE SOUND CUBE AND REN, JUST THE STYLE NOT THE WORDS

I'm liking the Jazzanova remix, It is probably my joint favourite track on the album. Ben Westbeech is a talented guy and i recommend checkin out his solo album!

I usually like a bit of Missy (my guilty pleasure lol) but the track is AWFUL

Love Jazzanova and Gnarls Barkley.

Happy holidays to the Soulbounce crew! Thanks for posting my Jazzanova edit/remix. There's also an instrumental version available on my blog at http://vrble.com.

im liking that jazzanova remix!
