John Legend Wants You To 'Lay Your Head' On His Shoulder
Yesterday a new track from John Legend surfaced online, but it's straight old school. "Lay Your Head On My Shoulder" takes its cues from the 1960s, when artists who we now consider legends we're just getting started. John's voice is robust over a bed of strings as he pleads with his lady love to her head on his shoulder and assures her that he'll make everything all right. Gasp and swoon. This is the kind of song that your parents or grandparents would have slow danced the night away to back in the day. It's unknown if this is an outtake from Evolver or from an upcoming project, but what I can tell you is that this song is a little over three minutes of sheer perfection.
