Aceyalone Reminds Us Of 'The Way It Was'
Even though the song itself is riding last year's retro wave, Aceyalone's "The Way It Was" featuring Bionik is a reminder of why the trend still stands. One of the strongest aspects of the video is that it's saturated in a throwback surfer film manner that makes California seem like a dream of sunshine and low riders. It's upbeat and catchy enough to dignify The Supreme's sample, and director Jason Goldwatch does the short song much justice. It's a great springtime teaser and is a fun visualization of a catchy song.
