Ciara & Justin Timberlake 'Sex' It Up In New Video

After releasing a single last year that received a lukewarm reception and a few leaks that sparked little to no interest, it looks Ciara may have finally hit the jackpot with "Love Sex Magic." The former Princess of Crunk 'n' B (remember that ridiculous title?) enlisted the help of Justin Timberlake and Timbaland for the second single from her oft-delayed next album, Fantasy Ride. The song itself isn't bad, but the video enhances the experience. JT joins CiCi who steps into the role of sexpot--a very flexible one at that. Can't wait to hear the feedback on this one.

do dey have sumthin goin on or wuht

No one else finds it messed up that Justin Timberlake, a white man, has a chain around Ciara's neck? I'm with Stoneyisland. Why she chose to get with a white dude who parades her around like a sex object in the video is beyond me, and a very poor choice in her artistic endeavors.

why is it my comment beening held and not posted. I think this blog site only wanna post bad thing about ciara.

I too agree with the previous poster. My girl friend and I have a good time together doing what turns the other on; and it tends to look a lot like what is being done in that video. I don't believe that I am being objectified, as a Black woman & she being a White woman. We are in love. We find these things add spice & are sexy.

Is Ciara acting like a "whore" in this video? I see one guy. There are no orgies, and the premise of the song (though not many people agree with this life choice) is... let's make love and fall in love. Yes, that's all it is! The song, isn't that great, and the video is... well....

Here is a thinking exercise, (my apologies to the supporters of NSTM - no sex till marriage). Have you never thought of doing something naughty (no, no I mean something *really naughty*) for your significant other? Did it make you a ho? Now watch the video again, does it seem to fit?

This does not make any less pertinent the tendency for us to see objectified black women at every turn; the succeeding post and podcast started a discussion that needs to be started. I just doubt this video actually fits in that category.

As for comments about JT himself? Hmmm the nipplegate fiasco, to me, was the disappointing sign that he was unrefined and most certainly not a gentleman.

NE

eh.

Ciara and Timberlake are both struggling to remain relevant. They are doing whatever they can to stay alive.

Sad. I agree with the others who say that Ciara is definitely trying her HARDEST to be sexy. All of the acrobatics do not make sexy. Sexy just is! Ciara looks like somebody's little sister, trying to act grown! Give it a rest sistah! Find yourself [truly find yourself] and success will follow!

WTH is wrong w/ her? Why play the whore in your OWN video to JT? Did she not learn from Janet? Why be objectified like this? To me, she's prostituting both her music and image w/ this video and song.

Agree with blacklotus, same recycled formula served up cold with no garnish. Can't they at least wait until Beyonce retires or has family drama with somebody in cuffs before they start producing wanna-bees? If Justin had to do music without somebody black he would just fade into black.

Watching this video makes me miss Amerie.

Sigh...

Can CiCi stop playing w/music & just put out pole videos? I feel like I'm learning the fine art of lap dancing whenever I see her videos, not like I just heard a hot track or saw an innovative concept I'm bored. REAL BORED!! These mass reproductions of the already mass reproduced leave something to be desired. No more CiCi!! Her vocal stylings (if we can call them that) are for children. But her material is not. What's her target audience. BOO!!

Timbaland didn't produce this song. JT wrote it and co-produced it with hid production team, the Y's, the same team that is resonsible for "Dead and Gone."

Justin is in the video BECAUSE he wrote the song and is featured in the song. Stop with the ignorant racist comments.

This seems to be another hit fo Timbo turning Ce into a pop artist is always the cure for slumping so called R&B singers. I think he wants her to fill J-Lo's old spot maybe? she sure sounds like her or is that some computer trick? On another not Cece is looking hot hot hot but that has nothing to do with the music.

I think Ciara looks really good in clip. She's a lot more beautiful than people give her credit for, or her stylist is a magician/rocket scientist.

The song itself is tolerable, but I agree with everyone that says it sounds like JT leftovers. This is not Ciara's sound. They're using him as a vehicle to push her to the Pop heads. Which is tired.

Personally, I cannot stand JT but I love his albums. However, I kinda want him to back off the sistas. Was Usher not available?

Eh!? Nothing special. Redundant lyrics. Same clones in the background (the Beyonce Special I call it). Doesn't make me wanna dance, doesn't portray the sexy that it was going for.

Nice try, no cigar *wa wa wa waaaaaaa*

Humph. WHY do black artists keep flocking to this watered down, s------ -------? I guess she didn't learn from Janet, maybe he'll expose her at a public event, sell her out, and try to damage whatever name she has.

Ciara is cool, but on principal of Justin being in this, I can't do it. Hope the rest of the record is better.-QH

wack song. wack video. next!

Even though it is obvious Ciara is trying her hardest to be sexy here, unfortunately this song and video lack an effortless sexiness that we know she is capable of. We've seen it before in previous videos like "Promise", "Like a Boy, "Oh", and "Get Up". She dazzled in those clips because she made it all look so easy. The dancing. The coy glances to the camera. The authentic tomboy sexiness.

In this video everything...and i mean everything...looks and feels so contrived. So strained. ( I don't think the more times you bend over the sexier you become.) The music doesn't even sound fresh. More like a reject from JT's FutureSex/Lovesounds album.

But with all that said, I'm rooting for Ciara. I just wish the music/videos coming from her lately were better. She's very capable of it. I myself liked "Go Girl" and "Never Ever" was ok....in the least, the visuals were better in those two clips than in this very un-magical collaboration.

I am no longer supporting anything babygirl does, you mean to tell me not ONE brother, Raheem, Dwele, ANYBODY basically and she chooses to get freaky with a white dude who threw Janet under the bus a few years ago. I dont know who gave this white dude a free ghetto pass but he gets no love from me or my fam.........

i don't know about you guys, but i felt like there was nothing but feigned chemistry between JT and Ciara. i got the sense that he was just going through the motions, saying to himself, "this ain't nothin' but a paycheck." i also have a bit of a problem in the back of my mind with Ciara seemingly reserving her inner freak for THIS particular collaboration. i'm not hating, i'm just saying.

i wasn't even feeling the song. there is nothing new or interesting about it. the video, as visually stunning as it is, rescues this "event" from being a complete waste of time.

i'm sad--i'm just not feeling Ciara at all on this new album project. "Never Ever" provided a glimpse of hope, but generally she's not really giving me anything that i originally liked her for.

You know.... I dont mean to be decadent ... and you call me a hedonist....But...

Have you ever had a lover that said " I wanna lick your whole body like a lolli-pop?" Then said lover proceeded to lick you from head to toe very quickly....like trying to run a race track on your skin.....never staying in one area long enough to get a real fire going?

Thats what that video was IMHO. Janet had the iconic images in each video: the green dress, the black jeans, the massive cleavage, the belly button, the dazzling smile. Alliyah had the slim goody dance style, the hair over the eye, the coy peep around. and dont get started on Madonna.

Ciara has that certain "it". But it always seems to be "all coffee not enuff cream" or "sugar water with no lemon". Her productions with the exception of "Like a Boy" and "Promise" to lesser degree lack that laser beam focus that Beyonce gets from her productions.

I just want to know...has JT become the 'go-to' guy for black r&b/pop princesses to duet with? (i.e. Beyonce, Ciara, Rihanna, Janet)

loves it

Well that was Magically Delicious!!!!
