Dwele Is 'Workin' On It'
"Workin' On It" is an interlude and J Dilla tribute from Dwele's Sketches Of A Man. It is also, incidentally, one of my favorite tracks from the album, and provides a smart segue into "Brandi," which is inspired by Slum Village's "Go Ladies." As we wait for Dwele to drop the video for "A Few Reasons," we have this clip to hold us over in the meantime. Now let's play a game: Name all of the the Jay Dee tracks referenced in "Workin' On it."

The bass drop from "Featuring Phat Kat" (Welcome To Detroit) gets played in between "Nothing Like This" and "Baby" [1:10-1:13]

Think Twice (Welcome To Detroit)
Nothing Like This (Ruff Draft)

He could be singing about ham & cheese and it would still sound good.
