Not too long ago, Erykah Badu asked if anyone in the Twitterverse knew what a cannabinoid was. Although known in science as being the active substance that gives the pleasant sensation when marijuana is metabolized by the body, in Erykah's universe, The Cannabinoids are apparently a project that seeks to "manifest live musical improvisation utilizing the tools of studio tracking and hip-hop production." In short it's a group of Dallas-area DJs, musicians, and beatmakers who will elevate live concert music to one consisting of a psychedelic, Hip Hop experience. Judging from the clip below, I still have no idea what would be in store for anyone catching their live set. Knowing Ms. Badu and her eccentric yet always on-point musical forays, this might just add up to an out-of-body experience.
