Esperanza Spalding, Ayo & Others Strike A Pose, Sing Some Songs For Banana Republic

esperanza_spalding_ayo_banana_republic.JPGClothing retailer Banana Republic has enlisted a who's who of up-and-coming musical artists for their Spring 2009 City Stories campaign. No, they didn't go the typical route of
choosing folks like Mary J. Blige or Common, but instead they chose left of center musicians such as Esperanza Spalding and Ayo to don their duds, in addition to seven other diverse talents including Sara Bareilles, Liz Phair and OK Go. All nine artists not only modeled for City Stories but they also contributed music to the Banana Republic City Sounds Vol. 1 compilation available exclusively in BR stores while supplies last and on iTunes. For those who like us are totally enamored with Esperanza, her gorgeous photographs with her fierce afrobella style will only make you fall deeper in love.

Check out photos and video interviews of Esperanza, Ayo and Puerto Rican saxophonist David Sanchez after the bounce and check out what's new at Banana Republic this season. These clothes are kinda cute!
