The great thing about travelling internationally is the opportunity to explore other cultures while simultaneously exploring oneself. One of the things that supremely sucks about travelling internationally is seeing the reminders of our conspicuous consuming culture reflected in other countries, like McDonald's, for example. Peep Pharrell in the clip below, singing and dancing while attempting to score some food while young French maidens look upon his antics in the most unamused of ways, then proceed to shut the restaurant down literally in his face. In the States this would surely have drawn attention to him in ways that might cause a huge unnecessary fan-induced ruckus, and that's before the manager would have let the store remain open just to take the infamous Pharrell's order. Not only are the nonchalant side-eyes just so priceless, but so is Pharrell's demotion to "normal" person status.
