All The Way Live: Omar Does Roy Ayers
In celebration of Black Music Month, all month long SoulBounce will be featuring some of the best live performances that I've had a chance to witness and catch on video in my musical travels. Today's featured performance is from UK Soul star Omar who recently did a short stateside tour this spring and brought some British funk with him. Here he is covering the Roy Ayers classic "Everybody Loves The Sunshine" for his captive and captivated audience in Washington, DC. If you don't feel this, then you need your soul checked. Here in the UK we have a lot of artists that are bringing it, Omar is right up there with the rest of the underrated British artists, like Beverley Knight, Nate James, Terri Walker, Mica Paris, etc.
