Saying goodbye hurts. Sometimes it's unbearable. Imagine that you're Stevie Wonder, and you find out that Michael Jackson, one of your contemporaries, fellow child prodigy and lifelong friend, was taken suddenly. You have no time to grieve since you're out on tour. What would you do? If you're Stevie, you do what you do best. Perform. Work it out onstage by paying heartfelt tribute to a legend. That's exactly what went down this past Friday in Kansas City, where Mr. Wonder talked through his raw emotions with the crowd via talkbox, and then segued into the Jackson 5 classic "Never Can Say Goodbye." We'll undoubtedly hear more from Stevie (and pray that he stays healthy and strong) as the days and weeks and months go by, but for now check the clip below and feel for him. And for us.
