This coming Sunday at 8pm, I'll be on my way to a karaoke spot on Long Island to participate in yet another tribute to Michael Jackson through song. And since you probably won't be able to join me, I do have an alternative for you. TV One (the station for African Americans that seems to plugged in to their audience), also at 8pm, will be airing The Michael Jackson Story, a special that will explore Michael's life and times, and will include interviews with Katherine Jackson, Latoya Jackson, Gladys Knight, the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Liza Minelli, and so many more. Specials like these probably won't give you the closure you need. However, they could act as yet another outlet to deal with your disbelief that the King of Pop is gone. So, kudos to TV One. If you can't stay in the house, your more than welcome to join me on Long Island. My singing will probably make you wish you stayed home and watched the special instead. Heh.
