Do Hov, Kanye and Rihanna 'Run This Town'?
Really, could a single and video featuring Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West be anything but a spectacle? Probably not. From the upcoming Blueprint 3, the video for "Run This Town" is drenched in bombastic urgency. Everything is dark and decadent, from the stone ruins to the studded leather. It feels as though the chorus will culminate in some kind of violent uprising, helmed by the trio and their band of hard bodies in post-apocalyptic couture. There are shortcomings -- it feels long and conceptually tired and it's a little jarring to listen to Kanye spit about gifting luxury vehicles amid a grimy mob of survivors (or something), but it looks great regardless.

Jay-Z the man | August 20, 2009 9:14 PM | PermalinkI'm trying to figure out how Jay, Ri and Ye managed to remain so clean, meanwhile everybody else looks like the just left the set of Escape From New York.
Soulrific | August 20, 2009 4:39 PM | PermalinkJigga stop being relevent along time ago, he actually hasnt spit anything really hot in about 5 years. He is not the God MC he thinks he is, Kanye is so gay fish it's not funny. Rihanna is banging but her looks can only take her so far. When you add all three of these together you get a shit-brick sandwich of a song and video.
