The Bots Rock Out & Have Lots Of 'Style' To Boot
It is clear from the spread of culture and sounds from the African Diaspora that it is possible for a band to sound like everything and yet nothing like anything ever made before at the same time. When you consider the influences cited by The Lei Brothers which include The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Devo, The Beatles, Bad Brains, and Led Zeppelin you can kind of see my previous point. What makes Mikaiah Lei, 16, and Anaiah Lei, 12, so unique is not necessarily their precocious talent, but more so the fact that they rock out...hard. The duo from Glendale, CA are currently doing what kids do during the Summer in addition to working on their forthcoming album Self-Titled Album. You can check out more about them here.
