Toni Braxton Looks Forward With 'Yesterday'
Wait. Nope, I don't think my ears are deceiving me. It's really starting to sound like the 1990s all over again, with divas Whitney Houston (RIP, the voice), Mariah Carey (RIP, the rep), and now Toni Braxton, all gracing us with their musical presence almost twenty years since their debuts. Back in June, a sultry track by Ms. Braxton entitled "Pulse" leaked on the net to a somewhat lukewarm response. Now, another track has made its way to our ears entitled "Yesterday," a power ballad more in the tradition of the Maryland native's early years.
According to Toni, these songs are just a sample of what we can expect from the new effort, as she explained during a press conference earlier this year: "For my new album...we're gonna have the classic Toni's of
course, as they call it the 'baby making music, but we're gonna do some dancehall things in there as well." Well, alright. This song will probably have to grow on me, but with the album not due til first quarter 2010, there's time. Take a listen and tell us what you think. Hopefully, you'll think that Toni's "Yesterday" will be tomorrow's hit.

Whitney, Mariah & Toni...man those were the days.
I love me some Toni. I do enjoy this song and its getting me extra excited about whatever she will be offering in 2010. But am I tripping or does this song sound similar to "Halo"?

Just goes to show you that when you try to change who you really are you always fall flat on your face. I aint checking for Toni anymore, I will continue to bang her first release though.

Question. If Tony did not need pitch correction on Unbreak My Heart, You Mean The World To Me, Love Should Have, Another sad love song, Breath Again, Spanish Guitar etc etc. Why does she need it on this? SUCKS
