H-Town & Jodeci Plan To 'Knock Your Heels Off'
Some time ago, I was walking down the street in a one week period and saw two people who were stuck in the '80s. More specifically, the older gentleman I saw had a meticulously cut high-top fade while the older woman I saw had the same haircut Pepa rocked as well as some identical outfit that Pepa would have worn in Salt-N-Pepa's "Everybody Get Up" video. I say all of this to say that for some people certain years happen to crystallize their personae so well that they absolutely refuse to leave its nurturing bosom. If '94 happened to be your year or you happen to have misplaced your flux capacitor to travel back that time or you were yearning for an H-Town and Jodeci reunion, "Knockin' Your Heels"--not boots--is for you. Hey, I'm trying to be nice here. Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments. [H/T:JSN]

shenee | November 17, 2010 10:27 AM | PermalinkWell, I personally LOVED it and the reason is because it's subtle sexiness instead of the raunchy lyrics of Plies and other artists these days...which pretty much explain every body part that a person has and what needs to be done with them!!! I loved both groups in the 90's and I love them still...this is the kind of music that makes you want to spend a special night with that special person and make love all night....not just beat it up and leave!!! Go H-Town ft. Jodeci.....
Misty | July 19, 2010 9:41 AM | PermalinkMy biggest gripe about this song has nothing to do with it the music or the song title sounding dated (because everything sounds fine to me), it's more of a question of what the hell happened to K-Ci's vocals on this joint... or period? It sounds like they were either modulated or his voice has just gotten really bad. Maybe that was just a bad day in the studio for Mr. Hailey (one of the greatest vocalists ever)? Also, I can understand if Devante Swing was credited because he made the beat, but why credit JoJo and Mr. Dalvin if they're nowhere on the song? I don't get it.
Nunya Biznis | July 15, 2010 2:54 PM | PermalinkThe song was bad, in a bad way. I wanted more from two of the best R&B groups of the 90's. Knocking your heels off, come on H-Town, y'all could have came up with something way better than that. Should have let Dalvin write the song, it would have been way better. Speaking of Dalvin, I didn't even hear him on the song. Even though, Jodeci is in deed no longer a group they still do shows as "Jodeci" and other appearances as "Jodeci," so why not put feat. Jodeci? The reason I put the blame on H-Town for this flop is due to the fact I have heard new Jodeci songs and they were all bananas, new and current. I hate the new Jodeci album never got released, I am sure the old fans would have loved it and the younger crowd as well.
who knows | February 17, 2010 1:12 AM | PermalinkI like it, I am just happy both groups are trying to make a come back! I can't wait for the CD
Teonni | December 21, 2009 1:34 PM | PermalinkI love H-TOWN!!!!!!!! I'm soo happy that they came back with a hit. And they still have it in them!!! even though I just turned 18 I know everything about their music.
Nisha F. | December 18, 2009 2:30 PM | PermalinkI love it, That 's what i needed in my life. yes yes yes yes yes yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they will always be number #1 R&B group for me
Leslie | December 10, 2009 7:55 AM | PermalinkI freakin love it!!! I don't give a damn if it was cats and monkeys singing as long as they attach the names H town and Jodeci to it I'll support it.
Kim DeGrate | November 4, 2009 10:34 PM | PermalinkIm not sure they were going for a hit. This is just enough to tell their hardcore fans theyre still alive and kickstart a tour were they can sing the old hits. Considering they are great singers its a pretty ok move.

Faru | October 19, 2009 4:24 PM | PermalinkKnocking your heels off? wow....this song wouldn't have made in 1994 let alone 2009. Oh and the reason that they didn't put Jodeci on there....is because Jodeci "broke up" and now it's Nodeci and K-ci and JoJo.....yes I spelled it right...NODECI....

Mutada/Mullah Atari | October 16, 2009 6:45 PM | Permalinkfirst of all...why did they not just put "ft. Jodeci" on that pic? Second, I refuse to listen to this, I can just feel that its gonna disturb my spirit. lol
