Mae Day Wants To 'Give It All' To You
When we selected Detroit rapstress Mae Day as a Bounce-Worthy artist last October, we hope that you all took note. In the year since that point, she has gone on to release
the phenomenal Sade-inspired mixtape Cherish the Day, which is one of my personal favorites of '09. Mae is keeping the fires burning under Cherish with the release of a video for the song "Give It All," which mashes up Ms. Adu's "Give It Up" with a bounceable track. What I like about Mae Day is that she's fly and feminine and isn't trying to whore herself out with raunchy lyrics and imagery. The video shows Mae looking sophisticated in some scenes and street in others and it complements the vibe of the song.
