Bilal Stays Reaching Higher 'Levels'
We told you all about Bilal's upcoming album to be released next year and his promise of an Electro-Jazz sound. Now we have the proof in the form of an song he performed at this year's CMJ Music Marathon that occurred in New York City last month. "Levels" features Bilal as many of us are used to seeing him: in deep concentration and deeply consumed with the music. To boot, the video has been beautifully shot by Mochilla with Bilal backlit while performing on stage. It all just looks very funky, experimental, and mysterious. In other words, something you definitely need to see.

I absolutely love Bilal's music. This first album was awesome. The leaked album was phenomenal (I wish he could re-release that somehow). His mix CD was on-point. The performance at the Black Cat in DC was, to me, by far the best! He puts his draws in everything he does. A true artist...immaculate genius! I CAN NOT wait for this new album!! I love his artistry...and he gets better with time.
