Usher Gets Caught 'Slippin''

While we wait for Usher to release his sixth album, Raymond v. Raymond, we get to take a break from his bass-thumping, club-friendly songs. It's not that I don't like rocking to the beat every now and then, I just like a little variety in my life. On this single, instead of telling his boo that he's filing his "Papers," he takes responsibility for their failing relationship in "Slippin'." The message is quite simple: Don't get caught slipping in your relationship. He warns listeners of the pitfalls of taking their significant other for granted and advises that if you're not careful you'll wind up at home all alone. His message is straightforward and to the point. It's unclear if this beautiful plea will be included on his new album, but it should be.

Wow....y'all are harsh (except Bella). This is the voice of an angel. Where's your hearts??

I have to disagree with all the negative feedback. It's nothing phenomenal, but it's not bad. It's better than half the mess floating around the mainstream these days, and it's straightforward and to the point. I like it when Usher's not begging and pleading.

Jaheim has turned to Usher and Usher has turned into Brian McKnight (sans the good songs).

*going back to my indie artist roster*

Mundane and simple. In fact, too simple.

This song is terrible.

Just my opinion.
