Getting Caught Up On The Greatness of Georgia Anne Muldrow
I have always dug Georgia Anne Muldrow's style. At once eclectic--see her stint in Electronica on From LA With Love--able to craft a tight Hip Hop beat and always masterfully soulful, her sound has been getting me through this too often barren tundra we call Soul music. Her last and most recent albums, released in rapid succession, really opened my eyes to the type of talent that she has. Early, released late in 2009, is a collection of songs the singer/songerwriter/producer wrote when she was just 17. Kings Ballad, released this past Tuesday, has been described as a more Pop-driven and accessible album to those not as familiar with her as they should. Given the amount of music we SoulBounce editors have to wade through on any given day, I am only now getting caught up on just how wonderful these two albums really are. They're not only listenable with maybe a few skips to the next track, but the albums yielded two songs that I cannot stop listening to. Check them out below.
Georgia Anne Muldrow: "Sunset"
Georgia Anne Muldrow: "King's Ballad"

As I hear more of her music, the more I love her. I'm so inspired by these two joints alone. Adding to my list of upcoming music purchases. Beautiful.
