Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake Give A Hip-Hop History Lesson

I must say that Jimmy Fallon has proven himself to be the most adept late night talk show host when it comes to music, but with The Roots as your backing band, one really has no excuse. I've always loved Jimmy and Justin Timberlake's take on Barry and Robin Gibb from The Bee Gees on "The Barry Gibb Talk Show" from Saturday Night Live. Last night ago they offered their take on hip-hop history by creating a mashup of some of the genre's most influential songs on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. I can't front, they did a pretty good job for the amount of time allotted. Try to see how many songs you recognize--it's not that hard--and sing along like you know you want to.

Not to throw shade but they remind me of the white kids I went to high school with who just had to let me (one of 6 black students) know how much they looved hip hop and that my hair was sooo cool. Ok let me stop. I do think Fallon has a decent show and good gig for the Roots.

Just got up this morning and watched this in the UK!! Made me chuckle so much - nice to see tv people who can make fools of themselves! The Roots are the tightest band in the world - no doubt!!
