Come Get Your 'Refill' Of Elle Varner
Elle Varner made quite a first impression here at SoulBounce. Her debut single "Only Wanna Give It To You" rocked our worlds. Hell, it even made our Songs of Summer list. But, outside of the funky and fun video, we haven't heard much else from Camp Varner. That changes with "Refill," a new track from the up-and-coming songstress. The song is all about that intoxicating conversation and good time that you just don't want to end (and we've all had those) and should technically be a great follow up to her last single. However, I wish I could say that I was enamored with this one as I was with "Only Wanna Give It To You," but unfortunately, I'm not. That's mainly due to the duelin' violin sample that's used here. It doesn't go with the song or her styling and is just ultimately distracting. Other than that, her vocal is amazing and the other musical choices here are right on. I just wish that it didn't feel like she was singing this in the middle of a good, ol' fashioned hoedown. But hey, maybe that's just my own taste. Let me know what you think after you've sampled "Refill."

I LIKED it...now no its not the bump in my ride banger that the first song was but this has a chill vibe that earns it immediate space on my droid (phone & tablet)...the fiddle blends great with the vocals

Anyone, I liked this immediately when I heard it. The fiddle makes it sound, I dunno, down home? I think it kinda grounds the lyrics. I like.

Listening the first time, I admired the risk of using the fiddle, and the lyrics are pretty fresh, but I my ear didn't know what to do with it. After the third listen it clicked. There are few R&B artists that could hop on this and make it hot. Mariah Carey is one person that poped into mind. But to me this is a HOOOT track. The musicality is just dope. No two ways about it.
