When looking back over last year's album forecast list, it occurred to me that Vikter Duplaix didn't drop his long-awaited opus, Love Machine, on us. After starting '11 strong with "Morning Fun" featuring Common, I just knew the album wouldn't be too far behind, but that wasn't the case. Fast forward to 2012, and Vik is busy with his judging duties on Master of the Mix Season 2 and DJ gigs around the globe, but luckily for us he found time in his schedule to record the vocals for this hot track to start the new year off with a rousing soul clap. Producer/remixer Boddhi Satva enlisted Duplaix's talents for the song "From Another World," which the latter recently posted on his SoundCloud page. Vikter's feathery voice slides across Satva's soulful house production like silk as he tries to convince the object of his affection to cross their international divide and be his lady. This is one of those rare house songs that you can break a sweat or chill out to. Needless to say, I'm loving this, and I find myself suddenly looking forward to Boddhi's debut release, Invocation, coming in March on BBE. Now about that album, Vikter...
