Common Adds More 'LUV' To His Acting Resume

When not releasing banging albums like The Dreamer/The Believer or writing best-selling books, Common likes to put his SAG card to good use. He's starred in films like Just Wright and American Gangster and appeared on shows like Single Ladies and his current gig Hell on Wheels. Adding to his ever-growing resume is the new indie drama LUV. Premiering at this year's Sundance Film Festival, the film finds Common playing a troubled man who is forced to bond with his orphaned pre-teen nephew (played by young actor Michael Rainey, Jr.). By the look of the clips released by The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that Com might be trying to add an Oscar to his collection of awards (not that there is any threat of that judging by any of his previous film outings, just saying). Will LUV do for Common what Six Degrees of Separation did for Will Smith? Check out a clip of him in action below and after the bounce and be the judge. [H/T: OKP]
