Jill Scott may have cut all ties with her old record label, but Hidden Beach is still making sure that her old material gets out to the masses. Last year's release of The Original Jill Scott - From the Vault, Vol. 1 was definitely eclipsed by that of Light of the Sun, but it's an album worthy of attention (and as quiet is kept I personally enjoyed it more than LOTS). To make sure that it remains on our radar, Hidden Beach has commissioned a music video for her remake of Bill Withers' "Lovely Day." Directed by Alex Magana, the video is sans Jill Scott but filled with lots of children singing, dancing, and bringing the #HaveALovelyDay campaign to promote random acts of kindness to life. The video is cute and might even melt the icebox where your heart used to be.
