In the pantheon of R&B songs, there's nothing like a good kiss-off record. Singer/songwriter Stacy Barthe (an artist you definitely should be checking for this year) has delivered a great one with her latest "Keep It Like It Is." When we last checked in, we found her pining for a love that never was in "Never Did," so it's nice to see her flip the script a bit here. The reggae-flavored track packs a lot of bitter with her honeyed vocals as she tells a no-good lover that things are better when they're apart. Even better, the spoken portion at the end, where she alleviates any and all confusion her nicer wording in the verses might've caused.
