Yesterday former Pussycat Dolls member Melody Thornton delivered a teaser from her forthcoming mixtape, P.O.Y.B.L. "Lipstick & Guilt" finds Melody growling over Jay-Z & Kanye West's "No Church In the Wild," produced by 88-Keys and originally featuring Frank Ocean. Thornton's flip of The Throne's track reeks of disdain, turmoil, and industry woes. "Hail Mary for the woman she was," Melody wails. "Lipstick & Guilt," although not the best we've heard vocally from her (see "Love Gun" & "Sweet Vendetta"), showcases Melody's prowess as a songwriter. Leading up to the March 15th release of her mixtape, P.O.Y.B.L., an acronym yet to be explained, Melody plans to hit us with a new track each Monday and Thursday. Give "Lipstick & Guilt" a spin and let us know if you're anticipating Melody's solo debut.
