Does Usher's 'Climax' Satisfy You?

Has Usher gotten the memo that all that techno pop nonsense he's been dabbling in has his long-time fans giving him side-eyes galore as we turn our radios off and not up? That remains to be seen, but I'm cautiously optimistic with his seventh album on the horizon and the first single dipping its toes into electronic soul waters. Produced by Diplo, "Climax" is closer in sound to Miguel than Michael (Jackson if you're nasty), and it's a good fit for Mr. Raymond. The accompanying music video is an interesting watch, if for no other reason than to figure out what exactly is going on here. Told in a non-linear fashion and lacking an actual climax to the story, we see Usher staking out a house where his lover lives. There's a hot-and-heavy love scene, two cars racing toward each other on a one-lane road, a gun, and a flash of light, which may or may not be gunfire. Is it their relationship that has met its end or her relationship with her other man? Or did Usher take them both out? This video doesn't get tied up nicely with a bow and leaves you with more questions than answers.
