Kia Bennett, a singer/songwriter hailing from Richmond, Virginia, has been on our radar here at SoulBounce since the release of Soulpersona's excellent Soulacoaster album back in '09. She guested on two of the album's standout cuts, "Lifetime" and "So Natural," making her someone to keep an eye, and an ear, out for. Fast forward to today and Kia is releasing her debut EP, Duet of Daffodils, which features both those aforementioned tracks, as well as a handful of other collaborations with SoulBounce favorites including Tamara Wellons, Osunlade, and Ezel. "Share a Moment of Love," a track recorded in the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, which also features Sy Smith, Deborah Bond, Raheem DeVaughn, Kindred The Family Soul and more, is also included. The EP is available via Kia's Bandcamp page and is free for a very limited time, so head on over there now. You will not be disappointed.
