Jermaine Paul Soars With Soul On 'The Voice' Finals

I'm a little reality showed out right now, but one that I've been keeping up with pretty regularly this season has been The Voice. Although I didn't agree with many of the choices or decisions by Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton, there was one artist who captured my attention from day one (as well of the attention of Shelton whose team he's on) who I've been riding for all along: Jermaine Paul. Aside from Paul possessing my favorite winning trifecta -- being tall, dark and handsome -- he is super talented yet so humble and down to earth despite all of his amazing attributes. In addition, I've actually been a fan of his for a while, since his days of singing supporting vocals for Alicia Keys. He's gone from the background to the foreground and made it all the way to The Voice finals, which were held last night. He sang three songs during the episode -- R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" complete with requisite gospel choir, his coach Blake Shelton's country hit "God Gave Me You" and a rousing duet with Blake of Sam & Dave's "Soul Man" -- and brought a much-needed dose of soul power to the stage, which you can see in these videos. He put on one helluva show, and even if he doesn't win, I'm positive that there will be a record contract waiting for him somewhere. We'll find out in a matter of hours who is crowned this year's champion on The Voice when the live results show airs on NBC tonight at 9 pm EST.
