Something May Be Wrong If 'You Don't Love' Gabriele Poso & Osunlade's Song

Taking on any classic takes a sizeable amount of gutso. Taking on a classic and completely changing the genre it falls successfully in takes way more than that. Now that's not to say that every attempt has been horrible. But the ratio of successes to massive fails has been woefully imbalanced, with fails taking the top prize more often than not. So when someone comes along, has the balls to take one on, flips it and wins at it, it calls for a celebration. And if percussionist Gabriele Poso's version of Dawn Penn's classic "You Don't Love Me" doesn't make you want to break out your confetti and dancing shoes, then I'd have to wonder if you even have a pulse. Poso takes the reggae classic from a slow grind to an upbeat, Latin-inspired jam with raucous horns and hypnotic drums. He enlists the vocals of the dance king himself, Osulande, to seal the deal. But why am running my yap about it? Click play and see if Poso's work doesn't make you want to hit the dance floor.
