The Botaniks & Bernhoft Are 'Fond Of Jane'

Since stumbling across Norwegian soulster Bernhoft last year -- courtesy of the Ellen show -- I have been keeping a very close eye on his musical output. His unique one-man-band style and distinctive vocals have ensured that his two studio albums, Ceramik City Chronicles and Solidarity Breaks, have remained in constant rotation, and his two live albums, 1: Man 2: Band and Walk With Me, have kept his songs fresh with the inclusion of a full band on the former and a full orchestra on the latter. Last month we got a glimpse of some new material in the form of a cover of Tears For Fears' "Shout," and now an older track has resurfaced, which sees him team up with the production duo The Botaniks to give us "Fond Of Jane." Information on The Botaniks is scarce to say the least, with their website and Facebook sites simply stating: "THE BOTANIKS are a twin-head-mutant from the post-nuclear global wilderness next door, cooking up their future sound by fusing found digital and analogue materials." Ohhhh, OK. Well it's the music that counts, and "Fond Of Jane" certainly doesn't disappoint. Give it a spin then go check out more from Bernhoft here if you are not familiar.
