Having grabbed our attention with his extraordinary take on tracks by Corinne Bailey Rae and James Blake, UK vocalist Kwabs (aka Kwabena Adjepong) delivers to us another YouTube video to keep us intrigued and in his awe. The original song entitled "Lay Back" is a bluesy, soulful track that has haunting, indie-pop sensibilities about it. It gives listeners an inkling as to what direction the singer will take with his music as an artist. Which is great, because with each video that Kwabs releases I'm anticipating more and more the release of an EP or an album, or at least a track we can download. It hardly seems fair to tease us like this, when "Lay Back" makes it clear that Kwabs has a story to tell and a voice that was made to express it.
