As Janet and Luther once sang, the best things in life are free. Testing out that old adage are the newly formed super-group TMLR with their debut EP, Freeness Vol. 4. Now you may be thinking why a group's debut would be called Vol. 4? Well let's give a little background and hopefully all will become clear. TMLR consists of four of broken-beat's best known and beloved producers Kaidi Tatham, Akwasi Mensah, Matt Lord and Dego Ranks. All of the members have worked on various projects together in the past -- Tatham, Mensah and Lord all contributed to Dego's A Wha' Him Deh Pon? -- but this signals the first time all four will have joined forces to release a full project. The three-track Freeness EP is a prelude to a full-length album and is the fourth installment in Dego and 2000Black's series of free releases (which included "What Ever" featuring The Luv Bugz), hence the EP's name.
