Here's Yet Another Reason Why We 'Believe' In Mint Condition

Still on the promo circuit for their new album, Music @ The Speed of Life, Mint Condition stopped by the hometown studios of KARE 11 to briefly chat it up with Today host Pat Evans. Of the album, which debuted at #9 on the Billboard R&B Album charts, Stokley Williams said that this is the first time the band used a horn section, which resulted in a richer, fuller sound. He described the album's direction as "deep and broad" and said that the group describes their music as "gumbo" given all of their different influences. When it came time to perform "Believe in Us," they did what they've been doing for 20 years -- rocking the stage and taking names. Unfortunately the clip is limited to that one song, but if you like what you see even just a little bit, you have to do yourself a favor and pick up Music @ The Speed of Life if you haven't already. I told you before, but I'll tell you again, this is their best album in years, and one of the best, if not THE best album I've heard all year.
