Gilles Peterson is widely known amongst soul music heads as the man. The London-based DJ and record label head has put so many artists who we love on, and a cosign from him is as good as money in the bank for an up-and-comer. Peterson is planning a rare trip to the United States this month and one of his stops will be New York City where he'll be appearing live at (Le) Poisson Rouge on Thursday, October 25th. He'll be spinning songs from his deep crates all night and opening for him will be singer Leron Thomas. Word has it that Gilles' visit to NYC last year has people still talking about the good time they had to this day, so you should make it a high priority to attend this event.
