Saunders Sermons Makes It 'Rain'

After enduring Hurricane Sandy's wretched wrath earlier this week, the last word any of us here at SBHQ or on the East coast want to hear is "rain." However, SoulBounce fave Saunders Sermons just might change our minds with his new single "Stop the Rain." (Now there's a title we can definitely get down with while we dry out.) The Bounce-Worthy singer/songwriter/musician first wowed us in 2009, and he's gearing up to do it again with his new album, Just What She Needs, which he'll be dropping on November 13th. "Stop the Rain" is our introduction to the project, and what a fine one it is. Opening up with Saunders harmonizing over a bed of horns and synths, he sweetly laments about a lost love and asks no one in particular, "Can you please stop the rain from falling on me?/Can you save my heart from being hurt again?" Lyrically it's a sad song about heartbreak and ache, but it doesn't sound like one musically. This is one storm that Saunders Sermons is weathering just fine.
