I don't know about y'all, but I totally forgot that Mya even released an album this year. K.I.S.S. (Keep It Sexy & Simple) came and went with little fanfare when it dropped independently in February (after previously being released in Japan in 2011), so it didn't exactly register on my radar. But apparently someone was checking for K.I.S.S. because Miss Mya decided to make a music video for a cut that fans voted as their favorite from the album and release it on Christmas Day. In "Mr. Incredible," Mya is serving '70's sexy soul sista realness while wearing an out-to-there afro wig as she luxuriates in a bubble bath and talks on her princess phone (OMG I wanted one of those so bad when I was little). Once she's all squeaky clean she continues to set the scene for romance by setting rose petals on the bed and lighting candles to get the mood just right. For this to be a song about a "Mr. Incredible" we only see fleeting shots of a man's chiseled physique toward the end, but Mya did tell us at one time that "Tonight it's bout me, me, me, me. Forget about you, you, you, you," so there you have it. The grainy vintage look of this video and Mya's undeniable beauty make this worth a viewing, even if the song is ultimately background noise.
